So, here's a ponder. I have an uncle that just died this morning. It's sad and all but I was never super close to him and we all knew this was coming for a long time now. So, I'm ok with it. Anyway one of my aunts (his brother) sent out an email about how she had a vision of him in the arms of Jesus at pretty much exactly the time he died. What does everyone make of stories like that? Do you think they're real visions from a higher power or coincidence or a false memory or total fabrication or what? My grandma was super religious and that family of kids all stayed fairly religious as well. It sorta dissipated in my generation. I'm still religious but not super religious. I just don't know if I can believe that God is sending out visions to people. Also, why wouldn't the rest of the brothers and sisters get anything? So odd.

That's a tough question Zeke, I suppose it could happen, obviously its very real to her and it seems to be a positive thing for her, so why not? I guess even if she didn't really see it it was helpful to her so that's good.

Slightly interesting development. Turns out my mom was wrong about the time of death. She found out via txt message (kinda uncool IMO) and being tech averse she did have her cell phone on until 5:00am and the message said he had died a half hour ago. So, she was telling the family he died around 4:30am which is when my aunt had her vision. Now we find out the real time of death was more like 2am or at least that's when the nurses found him dead. So, kinda throws off the coincidence of the times lining up.

I think it's a strong belief that leads you to interpret a fuzzy dream through that lens.. I dream of someone holding someone. I find out someone I know died. I assume, based on my religious beliefs that what I saw was the dead person held by Jesus
