Hey Geezer.
Does Mythbusters count as a reality show..? If so I watch that... I love that show! That's about the one job, other than my current one, that I would consider a dream job.

When I think of reality shows I think of folks behaving badly for the camera, or folks competing against each other in singing, losing weight, being an ass, etc.
I don't consider Mythbusters and the like to be "reality TV", based on that criteria, although that may seem a fine distinction.
For example, I consider "Storage Wars" to be a "reality" show since it's more about the competition between characters for storage units, but I don't consider "Auction Hunters" as "reality" because it's more about the stuff they find. This even though both are technically about folks trying to make a buck buying abandoned storage units.
