I'm going with a shade of green. My bed, bedspread and dresser are all shades of brown. So, my room is going to look like it's forest colored :-p
I've already designated one of the extra bedrooms as Kaylee's room. It's got a window with an extended window sill. Kind of like a bench. I'm thinking I'll put her little bed up there and leave the blinds up pretty much 24/7. Hopefully she likes it.

I have this theory that there are a couple of kinds of aspergers, the Sheldon kind and the Amy kind. The Sheldon kind is when they don't feel love and don't see the need for others beyond giving them what they want. The Amy kind is when they really do care and want to socialize and have relationships but they struggle with making it happen. Amy really does care about people but Sheldon, lets be honest, doesn't. My neighbor with aspergers (she annoys me, yes I'm mean and insensative) fits more into the Sheldon type, I don't think she loves anyone. But when she was little she did love her parents, I've known her since she was born, so maybe if they're taught and enforced to love and be loved they end up like Amy but if they're not, her parents were parenting loosers, they end up like Sheldon? Aspergers isn't something I know a lot about and so I've been trying to learn about it and make sense of it lately.

Riona- interesting theory. I've seen so many kids with Aspergers and they are all individual, but they do share that total lack of social cueing and trouble understanding people and what is /is not appropriate to say and do. So I think they are both good examples of people with Aspergers integrating into a social group...which I love.
It gives my students hope that they can find people who would accept and welcome them too.

Apparently all it takes is free donuts. Walked in to work this morning to free donuts and apparently a big smile broke out on my face. Co-workers were like "what are you so happy about?"....um donuts duh!

So, later in the day yesterday they made zeek sad. So, they send out email when we have food in the break room. Near the end of the day they sent out and email with subject "Strawberries". Yay Zeek likes strawberries. But noooooooooo. This was an email about people picking up their orders of chocolate covered strawberries for valentine's day. Now to be fair they did sent out a few emails before about purchasing chocolate covered strawberries. That still doesn't register when I see the subject line of an email declaring some sort of food. All they had to add was the word "pickup" to the subject and I would have understood. Bah! I want some strawberries (chocolate not required).
