Well it's still pretty distant, but at least it is sort of on the radar again.

Does anyone else hope the technology never gets there? The less work Lucas can complete the less he can screw up. I'm kinda waiting for the day he passes the torch off and we can get a reboot.

Oh, we don't have to go that far, just get him a second writer if he ever tries to do romance dialogue again. Or if his main character is a ten year old savant.

If only I could believe it.

George had a good run. A true American original. Enjoy your retirement buddy, you've earned it.
Think I'm going to re-watch WILLOW tonight.

Can't blame him. Too many people are just simply dicks to him. Yeah, he made some bad movies - like most filmmakers have. But folks chose to make it personal, and attack him as if he were the devil (to hell with him having created some really, really great stuff). It also never occured to many to just not see his stuff if they don't like it.
Enjoy the retirement George. Fuck the haters.
"Goram it kid, let's frak this thing and go home! Engage!"

George had this to say about the angry fanboys:
"Why would I make any more, when everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?"
He makes a good point. He never deserved such nasty feedback about Star Wars SE. I don't agree with his choice, but I never understood the 'ruined childhood' BS. Those people really need to get a life. Let you wallet do your talking for you. If you hate the changes, don't buy it. Simple.

Well, I LIKE some (or most) of the changes. An artist GETS to revisit his stuff if he wants. I just blink when Greedo shoots first, and it's still all good.
