(possible) Firefly line on "X Play"

My husband and I are loyal followers of a video game preview/review show on G4-Tech TV called "X Play". In reviewing a sub-par Dungeons and Dragons video game, Adam Sessler said "I'm smelling a lot of 'if only' coming off this game." Now, that is just too darn similar to Jayne's line to be a mere coincidence. It ain't exactly blinking morse code, but its a secret message to a select few nonetheless.

The fact that the entire show is read from cue cards I doubt Adam has ever heard of Firefly and it was his writer who came up with that. Plus why the hell are you watching X-Play?! Judgement Day is the only way to go.

I'm a techtv person, so I haven't yet grown accustomed to the garish loud and often repeated g4 shows. Their hosts are hosts not experts. I want my Leo back.

I don't matter who wrote it, so long as it was said. I've been most certain that neither Adam nor Morgan write the voice-overs. The vocab is just too good. But I would like to say that most TechTv folk seem just the sort that could go for Firefly.

Girl i could not agree more with everything you just said. The day when G4 moved in and killed Call for Help was a dark day indeed. Hosts on G4 are loud obnoxious and not amusing to me. Give me Leo Pat Jess and the gang any day.
Oh and just to show my Tech TV Officianado-ness I remember when XPlay was called still Extended Play and Morgan Webb was on the ScreenSavers.

Good news...sort of. Due to viewer demand Leo's is back and doing a "call for help type" show. Bad news, Fricken $#*@$$ G4
is only going to broadcast the show in Canada.
Hey G4 how the viewer demand in the US?

Call for Help returns! Well, for Canadian viewers, anyway. G4techTV Canada has signed on Leo Laporte to do a new version of Call for Help, to be produced in Toronto. Comcast, the company that wholly owns G4techTV in the United States and removed Call for Help upon merging TechTV with G4, only owns one-third of G4techTV Canada, which made its own decision to bring the show back due to viewer demand.
