So, on the one hand, SQUEEEEE!
On the other hand, I think I may have heard this before.

Hello,
Someone please edit the title so that nobody else has a heart attack.
'Netflix to bring back Firefly' is a statement of fact, and a cruelly incorrect one.
"Could Netflix bring back Firefly?" would be better.
This is a Firefly forum. Don't do this to people. The remaining hope is delicate and must not be abused.

Uhm, I'm kinda disappointed to come back here after hearing about the netflix thing, and seeing nothing whatsoever concerning what Browncoats can do to help make it happen.
Back in the day, FFF would have been buzzing with activity and plans. Now it's "Oh, that would be nice". What happened?
Or rather: WTF CAN WE DO TO PERSUADE NETFLIX TO RESURRECT FIREFLY?
I know Netflix is getting e-mail-bombed (although I can't find anything about it on FFF - WTF?). That's a start.
Come on, ideas, people! We used to kick ass at this! In fact, it's how we Browncoats got our hardcore rep: We. Don't. Give. Up.
This is the best opportunity to bring back Firefly in YEARS. Don't sit back and wait how it turns out; that's not what Browncoats do.

Hello,
I have been spamming Netflix with the following message across their communications methods, including Public Relations, Investor Relations, and their facebook page.
****************
Hello,
Recent speculation that Netflix may revive Joss Whedon's Firefly television franchise has produced great energy and enthusiasm in the Firefly Fans community. We wish to express our delight at the prospect, and hope that you will invest in this opportunity to lure many fans of this sci-fi franchise to your subscription service.
Joss Whedon and Firefly have dedicated fans, and polling has suggested that most of our membership would join Netflix merely to watch this one show. Your pursuit of original programming is the perfect plan to recapture lost subscriptions, and this show is popular enough to accomplish that goal single-handedly.
Reviving Firefly would do no less than revive Netflix, launching it to the forefront of quality program providers.
Thank you for your time,
--Anthony T

No news here, nothing but speculation.
Yeah, the title should be changed.
It's a nice idea, and I'd fully support it, but Im not holding my breath. The shows Netflix are backing have a common thread - they're not very expensive to make.
I also don't know how compelling the "Rebuild Netflix" argument is. For all the bad press they got, and all the talk of subscribers leaving - the truth is they lost rought 1 million subscribers - out of 24 million. Not a huge hit.
"Goram it kid, let's frak this thing and go home! Engage!"
