Simon, Kaylee and Cinderella

An earlier thread about the possibility of an Inara and Simon pairing versus a Kaylee and Simon pairing got me thinking about Simon, Kaylee and Cinderella. The fairy tale Cinderella has a handsome prince marry a servant girl when he could have any woman in the kingdom. Modern incarnations of this fairy tale have wealthy men falling in love with or marrying poor women. An example is the movie Pretty Woman where a wealthy businessman falls in love with a hooker. I think that Simon and Kaylee's potential relationship falls into this theme from Western movies, books, etc. What does everyone else think? Is the Cinderella factor at work here?

Oh, it is the same theme for sure. Kaylee and Simon are the classic Cinderella couple. But you know Joss, he's going to surprise you. Who knows, just maybe... River is NOT Simon's sister...

I think River and Simon are brother and sister but I think that Joss is going to surpise us by pairing River and Jayne!

Pretty Woman reminds me more of the play "Pygmalion", in that the story is more about a rich man teaching a poor woman how to be a little more respectable (in his eyes), than it is about a poor woman and a prince living happily ever after. Not to nit-pick, of course.

That would be awesome if River turned out not to be Simon's sister..the chemistry between Summer and Sean .
But I think they are brother and sister....but I don't think either one should be with anyone...
