He was a no talent old fart who made millions of dollars a year for 5 minutes of TV a week, and then all he did for that 5 minutes was bitch about his telephone or wonder why cheddar cheese was yellow.

The world is a better place now that there is one less hack journalist on it, I hope Keith Olbermann is next.....and he's stupid

Whozit. BE NICE. I didn't watch Andy Rooney on a regular basis. Yes he did complain. He complained about things many of us wonder about or get irritated by. If he was lucky it came out in a witty way.
Being happy someone is dead? Whozit! You are jealous because you don't make your living with a five minute monologue once a week.
On the other hand, there might be an opening...

I'm not happy he's dead, I'm just NOT sorry to see him go. He was WAY over paid for what he did, and what did he do? He bitched and complained about crap nobody cared about and got mega bucks for it, I do it for free

I'm sure they'll be talk about his replacement and a big deal made when he/she does their 1st essay. Then a week later no one will care....just like when Conan started at TBS, now he can't get arrested.

I always liked Andy Rooney when I watched him. I remember one of his segments when he was whining and complaining in quite an hysterical way why bill payment envelopes come in so many different sizes. And the endless varieties of place-stamp-here boxes really drove him nuts! RIP Andy.
