Subpoena Rebuffed by Executive

Hello,
I am at a loss to come up with a good explanation for this. I'm trying to figure out why the Executive would hesitate to make any kind of requested disclosure. How can anything remotely related to a department of energy loan be considered secret? Never mind a subpoena, the workings of the government should be freely disclosed via a much less formal Freedom of Information request.
So...
Why hesitate? Why rebuff? Even a casual interest should be sufficient for full disclosure. The actions of our government are supposed to be public, and this president has further promised transparency.
Is the committee being unreasonable? Are they being partisan? Who cares? These are public records, anyway. Or they should be. Why not hand them over? And on what possible grounds could they refuse?

Here's what to look forward to in the coming months:
Eric Holder will resign after he's criminally indicted by a Special Prosecutor that the House committee will appoint after the Fast & Furious Congressional Hearings conclude. Also a fair chance he'll resign even before the SP is named.
Barack Obama will not survive unscathed the multi-tentacled scandals involving $ 30 billion in DOE Green Energy loans to many companies owned by the biggest Obama donors. Even the ones that went bankrupt saw those same guys loot the companies in bonuses and expenses right before they went bust...all with our tax dollars of course. Talk about your pay to play! Talk about your well-documented Chicago-style bribery and corruption! It's like Blago on steroids and Robitussin! It was so damn easy for them. They just used the "green" bs as a cover to commit massive fraud. Granted, not as shocking as the $ 140 billion the Democrats heaped upon their pals at Freddie and Fannie, but curiously funny how no green jobs were ever created, and how all the money just disappeared. All the early Obama guys like Summers, Emmanuel, and other resigned co-conspirators who funnelled the loot to the proper donors will all end up pitching or catching somewhere.

Perhaps, to open up a thread, or for a first reply , 'hello' may be seen as polite, but to start off EVERY single post with it, on an internet forum, seems to me as somewhat neurotic and tedious.
