From the producers of Buffy and Angel... is how the trailers pitch this new show.
David Greenwalt is the only name that jumps out to me though. Some of the lines in the brief clips I saw do have a familiar sound to them...
Sorry if this has been brought up before.

It's going to debut on Friday (TV's death night) on NBC, I wonder what kind of ratings NBC is hoping for? NBC hasn't been doing well lately ask Sean and Summer, NBC dumped their shows really quick. Besides scerwing up their Thursday Night comedy line up with shows nobody wants to see, (use to be the gold standard in TV comedy) they dump alot of new shows quicker then FOX dumped "Firefly".

I'll have to watch it on Hulu since I will be watching Fringe at that time. It will also be competing with Supernatural, so I don't think it will have much of a chance to capture the geek audience, at least not on original broadcast.

I liked it. It had a very Buffy feel to it. Not nearly the same quality dialog, but the story felt very similar. I don't know how they're going to keep letting this guy have "a hunch" about people being criminals over and over again. Still I'll give it a shot though.

I caught the first ep, found it enjoyable enough. I see some weak points - like several officer involved shootings in 1 ep with not much emphasis on either... where is all the paperwork?
Other than that, it wasn't Firefly, but it wasn't horrible. I will try to watch some more eps as they come.

I thought the premise was that he could see the hidden monsters.

That's the premise, but Zeek was referring to the fact he can't tell his partner or superiors about his ability so he'll have to rely on his great "hunches."

I'm getting a kick out of the makeup and transitions back and forth. Beautiful green mossy Portland gets star billing.

Ah. Well, two things supersede that, I think. First, if he keeps being right, his partner probably won't question him. (If he eventually does, it's entirely possible that he'll confide in his partner about it) Second, on the subject of his superiors ... well, did you notice the ending?

I hope it sticks. As I at least liked it so far. On IMBD there are 10 episodes listed so it might be around for a little bit anyway.
If it is canceled I hope they at least come to a conclusion for the DVD.
