Took my critter for getting a great report card. She gives it an A++, and I'm not too far behind. The first fifteen minutes were just awesome off the wall cooless...I laughed until I teared up a bit. I think I could listen to Antonio Banderas all day, and with his previous role as Zorro he was just custom made for the part... It did slow down a bit and some of the jokes were slightly risque, but were vague enough I didn't mind too much. They did pretty well keeping the plot twisting, and it hada good soundtrack. The ending WAS a bit cheezy, but at least they made it quick. I kinda wonder if they didn't cut some parts out and do a little re-writing towards the end to make things fit, but that could just be me... Overall,I think I could stand to see more of these kitties!

Absolutely, you go girl!

I wonder if I'm the only one who still sneaks in cokes and snacks...Now that we could technically afford them, I still sneak 'em in just for the fun of it

Also, we drove all the way into town so I wouldn't have to deal with the 3-d. I'm one of those people that has one eye that focuses a milimeter off from the other, so it gives me a headache(am a damn good shot though!). Not to mention they have been doing 3-d on a lot of kids movies where the 3-d is totally not warranted just to soak up a few more bucks. We went with others a few weeks ago to see a Dolphin's Tale(knew it had to be depressing but they made it even more depressing than it had to be) and they only had it in 3-d, so we wore those damn glasses for the whole show for maybe 30 seconds worth of enhancement....pointless!

In the promotional appearances the stars said the film was carefully tuned to keep the grownups from getting bored while not including the young'uns in some of the naughtiness.

In one appearance, Banderas recounted how he had voiced his part in English, (I think) Italian (or was it French?) and two kinds of Spanish - - one for the Americas and one in Castilian. The host, smart-aleckishly (I thought) said something like "I guess you can't do the Spanish accent when you're dubbing the Spanish." Said Banderas, purring, "Andaluthian."

In the background of the movie there's a cat going "ohhm" in a naughty tone whenever it gets saucy...

I need THAT ina ringtone, hah.

You are so naughty, talented tongue indeed, but I've heard nothing but good things about this movie. It's on my list of must-sees. I believe I will be taking my little 8 year-old passport to such kiddie fare, my little grand niece, this weekend sometime.

You make a good point about the 3D movies today, most are pointless productions. We can blame it on the success of Avatar (although that was a brilliant use of the medium). When I went to see Tron: Legacy it was absolutely horrible, they even put a disclaimer at the beginning of the movie that not all scenes would be in 3D - a total waste of film.

To be fair, they were trying to pull a "Wizard of Oz" by filming the real world in 2D and switching to 3D when Flynn Jr. entered the grid.

However, suddenly switching from B&W to color was probably stunning back in the days of Oz when color in movies was new. Trouble is, they've had 3D cinema for 50 years now, and its really not that impressive any more. I enjoyed the gimmicky trailers though - then I was ready to take off the bloody sunglasses so I could enjoy the movie.
