I don't mind my CEO yet. He drops F bombs in company meetings. That's kinda cool.
I swear if a scorpion gets in my shoe I'm calling this a hazardous work environment and finding a lawyer.

I just recently found out that we have a very tiny, very benign type of scorpion in my part of my state, I have spent time in the woods all my life and didn't know that, I just assumed we didn't have any. Apparently they are rare and keep to themselves but my brother's new wife was stung a couple of months ago when they were camping, its sting is minor and doesn't really cause significant trouble at all, but I learnt something new, who would have thought that we have scorpions here?
But ug, normally poisonous scorpions at work? That would be frightening.
I wouldn't want to serve on a murder trial because that is a big responsability. I'm more emotional than not, but not enough to make it too bad, but still I'd rather not decide people's fates, especially if its a complicated case. If it were obvious it would be easier, but if it wasn't then I'd really be conflicted about what to do and I'd side on the cautious side, I don't want to convict someone if we don't have evidence that they clearly did it.
I enjoy mystery novels though.
Lili, do you like Dr. Horrible? That has Neal Patrick Harris in it. I watched it and didn't understand it, everyone but me loves it I guess. I think I'm missing something. Intellectually I understand what its about, but the ending felt flat to me and I don't like musicals. But everyone else loves it so if you haven't seen it I think you'd enjoy it and he does sing in it.

I do like Dr. Horrible, and I like NPH in it, but I never melted onto the couch watching it. Something about his singing on HIMYM made me swoon, which I had to comment on. He isn't the only one, but it is a rarity.
Facts are stubborn things.

Cool, maybe he'll sing again if the makers of the show know that people find it sexy and fun.

I hate not sleeping because when I do get the chance I think my snoring wakes up the kid. I think so but strangely he seems to sleep better when he hears mommy/daddy sleeping. What things help y'all sleep? I don't think I can stand the quiet of the country anymore, kid has odd nocturnal patterns, alcohol is a joke, and the thought of my recent vivid dreams being interrupted keep me from sleeping too long. I need a vacation.

Hmm ok I can see not wanting the responsibility of a murder trial.
Really you don't like Dr. Horrible?? Oh well to each his own. I'm not that huge a fan of Angel
Zeek dear just mind where you step and leave your shoes on:) HUGS
Oh I miss sleep... so so much. Johnny can now get out ( owning to new toddler bed) so practically every night I'm sound asleep and a tiny voice right by my head says " mommy pick you up"

But that's not a bad way to wake-up, right? As long as it's not 3 in the morning. I totally get why parents leave their kids in cribs for as long as possible (and hope that don't have good climbers).
It takes me forever to fall asleep, but once I'm out, I'm usually pretty good 'til early morning. I tend to put ear plugs in every a.m. around 4-5 so that the traffic from the street I live on doesn't wake me up. It's one of the busiest streets in town, so it's quite loud. Loud enough that people make fun of me because you can hear a diesel downshifting to get up the hill on my answering machine. It's sounds like a cow.
MSA: The horses are doing well. I just sold Show about a month ago. It's a happysad occassion, but the woman who bought him really loves him. I was having a hard time keeping him worked enough and was feeling guilty. Amazingly, he sold in 13 days for full price...which in this market (and with his history) is quite unbelievable. It took my co-worker 3 years to sell her inexpensive and nice young horse. So glad it didn't take that long. I'm enjoying having more money, more time and less guilt, although I do miss my boy.
Dr. Horrible is one of those campy bizarre things that you either get, or don't. I Love It, but can see how some people would watch and be like "WTH?" I would imagine that fans of Buffy find it more amusing that fans of Firefly. Now, if you're fans of both...well, I would think you would like it.
CEOs: I like my CEO. He's awesome. I don't want him to get stung by a scorpion. I liked my old CEO and wouldn't want him to get stung either. My old boss, on the other hand? Not saying I'd like to see anything happen to her, 'cause I wouldn't, but whether she deserves something for the mental abuse she put me through is another topic altogether.
In other news, I cancelled my Netflix membership effective 9/1, because I didn't like being jerked around for, let's face it, a luxury item. Now, if I rent, I go to the local store or to redbox. I realize one small perk of netflix...my queue let's me know if I've watched something or not. I rented two movies from Redbox on Saturday. I watched the first (Hereafter = disappointing) and started on the second only to realize I had already seen it. In fact, I had rented it just a couple weeks prior. That's pathetic. What's even worse, is that when I was renting, I was interesting in "I am Number Four" but it was out. It didn't dawn on me until hours and hours later that I had also seen that movie. Crap...I just had another birthday, but I'm not THAT old. Eek.

Oh the privelidge of having a video store that is close enough to your house to go to. Now adays, much to my anger and frustration, the only video stores in my city are a bit too far to visit regularly. We get netflix and red box but that just isn't the same, oh the days of brousing at the video store whenever we want ... sigh. People don't know how lucky they are.

Hah...I hate browsing in the store. All the boxes are too close together and too many to see. Sure, the new releases that are highlighted and get the full face of the box showing are just fine. But the rest that only get the spine showing? Ugh. (BTW, I feel the same way about clothes shopping. I can't handle shopping in places where everything is smashed onto a rack. I like to walk in, scan and walk out if I dont' see anything. I hate browsing).
Thankfully, as Netflix killed Hollywood Video and Blockbuster, two local stores managed to survive. One has 5 movies, 5 days, 5 dollars for all but the newest of new releases. I call that an awesomeness.

I always just exploit blockbuster express. They have some policy about new releases being available or you get a one night rental free. Those codes hit the interwebs weekly. So, I just rent stuff for free out of their kiosks
