I dunno, while it's been funny, it also started to have too many cameos and also went on so long that storylines were repeated.

I stopped watching this around season 20 because it just wasn't funny anymore so I think that maybe it is time to call it quits. If it does go that way then I hope they don't just let it go at the end of the season but go out with a second movie or a set of special episodes. Something to properly send off the show.
As for the pay dispute then it's hard to know who to side with.
A 45% cut is a huge amount to ask for and I can completely understand the actors refusal to budge, especially as they can stick together as a team (didn't the Friends cast have a similar situation??). On the other hand getting $4million for 22 weeks of voice work is still extravagant. Of course Fox also gets a decent amount of money from advertising around such a popular show and I wonder how many of the executives (especially the ones involved with The Simpsons) would take a 45% pay cut, if they are taking any pay cut.
It'll be interesting to see how this turns out and what the future holds for the show.
