Well folks, I'm glad to say I may have converted a few people last night.

Backstory: some friends of mine have a gathering at their house every Sunday night. It started a few years ago with just friends coming over to watch Star Trek: TNG, and drink beer and talk... etc. Someone started calling it Bar Trek as they would sometimes play drinking games, etc, with the show. I thought this the PERFECT opportunity to showcase by new obsession.

I think I have succeeded. Generally anywhere from 6-12 people (or more sometimes) stop by throughout the evening to hang out for a bit. I had my core friends, to whom I had raved about the show, and some who had seen some of the episodes and had liked it and wanted to see more. So I brought my shiny new DVD set over, and we started from the beginning - Serenity. By the time I stumbled home (at 3:30 in the morning) the host had just put in episode 6 - Safe. It really grabbed people...

I came up with a new name for Sunday night... Bar Fly. And hopefully sowed the seeds to spread the word in Oklahoma City. I was even wearing by new Blue Sun T-shirt, and was teased about my 'geekness' (I could answer any question they threw at me about the show), but I loved it! Come April 22nd, I think I just helped sell a few more tickets! I'll be dragging everyone I know!

No power in the verse can stop me...
