Condolences.
It must be a very difficult time but I hope the collective vibes being sent to you and your family lessen the load at least somewhat.

Keep flying.

Haken

I'm sorry to hear all that. Do what you need to do. We'll cruise OK till you're back.

Remember when teachers, public employees, Planned Parenthood, NPR and PBS crashed the stock market, wiped out half of our 401Ks, took trillions in taxpayer funded bailouts, spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico, gave themselves billions in bonuses, and paid no taxes?

Yeah, me neither....

Thank you everyone for your concerns and support.

Here's a bit of an update on the situation. Unfortunately, the test results for my mother-in-law came back and the lymphoma is in her bone marrow, which means it's stage 4. Her chemo will begin on Tuesday and we've decided to move her into our house so that we can better help her through her chemotherapy. Everyone I've spoken to who has gone through this have told me the first treatment is the hardest and will pretty much wipe her out physically. Anyway, that's the latest. Will post more as things come up. Again, thank you all for your support.

Damn.

Just...damn.

Universe just ain't fair.
I hope your wife and family find the strength to get through this again.(and I hope you have a very thorough doctor for your wife, too!) This kinda stress can wreak havoc with a person's immune system....

wishimay is right, Haken, this can take a huge toll on the caregivers. You and your wife will need to take some 'me' time over the next few months and let others look after mom-in-law.
We're with you in spirit
