WOW. You're right about the teleportation. Very strange. Perhaps I'm going to have to add the Psionic Teleportation sphere from Traveller to Neverwinter Nights Firefly after all (didn't think it fit with River's abilities). Or it IS probably just a cutting issue.
And someone goes down in the cargo bay from a shot - not sure if it's Inara (very dark).

Or, it could be some sort of weird dream or flashback, or hallucination. Or possible a weird, psychic River POV...

First - I think it looks like River. I just get that because I think it's her at the end that says 'Reavers', and it looks like she could be in the same spot she was when she fell. *shrugs*
Second question - It does look weird. I slowed it down but still couldn't tell. Very odd.
I spent three minutes screaming and jumping in joy after watching this. Just so incredible.

It is River and she says Reavers while lying on the ground. It's not teleportation IMHO. It just a clip of her walking from point A to point B with the middle edited it out. It's probably an illusion or mind trick.

Yes, in addition to the jump cut, (i assume it's just Joss being, what he calls in his commentary "arty-farty") the vertical beams are part of a swingset that happens to also be on fire...

I hate to say it, but I don't like the look of the movie. I mean, that doesn't even look like Firefly. It's like they took the actors from Firefly, put them in a sci-fi/horror movie, and gave the characters the same name. I really hope that the small portion of the movie that's shown in the teaser is the exception, not the rule. Either way, though, I'm a little less excited about the movie now than I was before I watched it. If you haven't seen the teaser yet, then take my advice and don't.

Oh man. I already saw it twice at Comic Con, but I still got that nice little rush while I was watching it.
I don't think I can wait until April. Dammit.
