Firefly but apparently also Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles references.
Name = Skylar/Skynet
Skylar, making a joke : "i come from the future"
Alphas team member in front of a vending machines : "i think she (Skylar) is on the side of the machines"
Rating news : Alphas went up a tenth to 0.7 in 18-49 adult demo and gained viewers. Summer Glau effect?
(whereas the others shows on Syfy loosed viewers)

ok..cool..so a bit of hairdo from anime meets Blade Runner (Pris) and is that "almost" the same cop..the black guy? from Terminator?...man these shows are looking familiar...
also..just saw a couple minutes of Honeymoon on TV last night..couldn't stay in front of the tele...but surfing Summer caught my eye..gotta say, the blonde chick (detective?) had a bit more on the hot scale... Summer has some good angles and looks, but her dish face profile tends to keep her looking like a girl..she's a hotty no doubt but get her around some other talent and, well, I think I woulda swung towards the blonde on that show.

Apparently Syfy and Hulu realize the appeal of Summer appearing on the show. Up until recently the pilot episode was the only one made available online and they had said the rest would not show up until after the broadcast season. And yet, Episode 7 is currently streaming on both sites.

That's right folks, there was a popular, award-winning TV show (that started out) about da Mob in North Jersey, using a ten-episode story arc, a decade before the Sopranos
re Wiseguy: the Company Town arc has not been released on DVD (I doubt it will, now that Steve Cannell is dead), but is available for download from Amazon (does Haken still get a cut if it's purchased through an Amazon link on this site?). The Music Bidniz arc (w/Glenn Frey, Debbie Harry, Tim Curry & Patti d'Arbanville) is never going to see the light o' day 'cause, back in the '80s, the standard license agreement for pre-recorded music did not envision personal copies. Much of the licensed music on the Wiseguy DVDs was replaced

Yeah, what up with that? The SyFy channel only aired the pilot and that was it (whicch acutally wasn't that good). But I just finished seeing the encore showing of her episode "Catch and Release", it was very well written, acted and done.
These guys would be foolish not to hire her, at least the way the character was written, which put her talents to good use.
But we're talking about SyFy here. Universal get your act together.
