Another hot, humid day, but we survived an earthquake and a hurricane in a week's time and we're still flyin' so I figure a little heat ain't gonna do us in.

Sweat beads on your head, the troops shift impatiently.
Word passes through the unit, "10 minutes to moveout". Canteens are passed around, as helmets are refastened. Nervous butterflies rise in your stomach along with an immense sense of pride. Columns form, and the march begins our we move into formation, joining the DC parade...
Sigh... gonna miss yall at DC this year. Have a blast, and know I'm marching with the 76th in spirit.
