Well, I used to irrationally dislike things I hadn't seen before. Than I turned 12. What's really funny is people who have said things like "There won't be any Firefly DVDs," or "Only Whedon fails to realize that Firefly is dead forever." You can see some of that on this site, a philosophy board where they discussed Firefly.

If that's their opinion, they are entitled to it. My thought is that it's just a troll, but it's possible they hated the show that much. Who cares?

the guy just wants attention. it's as simple as that. he knows there's a massive amount of btvs and firefly fans, and he just wants attention, or a bunch of bitter replies. it's saddening that there are people like that. :/

Aside from the great premise, great acting, story, and so on and so on and so on... assuming the troll just has extremely bad taste and Firefly wasn't his cup of tea...
How can ANYONE say that the SFX are bad? Firefly has, hands down, the best SFX I've ever seen on the small screen.

Man, what show was this dude watching?
Better yet, did he even watch? I have found that most of the haters out there either watched like 10 minutes of the show and called it quits or just heard about the show from someone who watched 10 minutes and called it quits.
Oh well. I maintain that its the closed minded haters that will lose on this. They wont go see the BDM... and that's alright by me. I will just have to see it a couple of more times in the theater and love it all the more.

Well thats where his frail critisism falls flat. FF's effects are, like you say, simply the best ever seen in a TV show, thats not an opinion, just a plain simple fact, alot better than many a big budget big screen movie.
Its best just to ignore people like that, their statements are so poorly thought out that very few people will take note anyway.

Definitely a better focus of my energies to make a site extolling the many virtues of Firefly and Serenity than to waste it replying to brainless gits that haven't the mental capacity to comprehend any television show beyond Barney.
Besides, when they show up on your own site, then you can just ban them for violating the rules on stupidity. ;)
