The problem with creating an official Firefly RPG is that the series license is still held by Fox, and the film license is held by Universal. You can't incorporate material from both into the same product without buying two very expensive licenses.

At least, this is what I am made to understand. There IS interest in the RPG publishing industry, but this problem is significant.

By the way, I will be at Gen Con Indy, working at the Mongoose Publishing booth. Come by and say hello! (I'm the very tall girl.)

I happen to know the guys running this game and it looks very promising. Although CP 2020 was used as the system it seems quite stand alone in it's presentation.

I think Cyberpunk 2020 is a a good system for adapting Firefly. And has been stated in other threads, D20 system is not, IMHO, as effective a system for what I would consider already developed characters. Also, the Cyberpunk source books already do an outstanding job of setting a dark futuristic atmosphere which is a part of Firefly along with the western themes, also found in Cyberpunk.

PS- I think it's probably all Browncoats playing in the game, if you are looking for help maybe stop by the table where the games are being played and you might find some help.

"Whoa, good Bible."
