I was not at Comic Con. And how can you not like Rhys? He's adorable and funny too! I really liked Ianto too.... after the whole half robot girlfriend crisis was taken care of anyway.....

Rhys's entire reason for existence as a character is to once an episode grind the plot to a standstill while he yells at Gwen to stop doing her job. He's an enjoyment sink and a bit of a throwback to the kind of "keep 'em barefoot and pregnant" character of the less enlightened fifties sitcoms. Ianto wasn't bad per se just kinda bland.

Also Owen even though his character was kind of superfluous in that he was just the jerky side of Captain Jack removed so he could be the Hero. Fun little bastard anyway.

Gwen???? Really!!!!! Actually she's probably favourite in the new series. Still don't care that much about any of the new characters. Maybe they will add someone interesting and loveable in the middle of the season so that they can kill them off in the finale!

Stopped watching the new series after the third episode. Might have to go back and start over with season one to remember Torchwood when Jack was likeable even when he was being all mr. bossy pants.

RIP Torchwood... you had at least two awesome seasons and then COE happened (I will get over it one day... maybe)

Good news two shows I'm loving right now. Bedlam, which only has a six episode run for the first season... but hopeful for season 2.

And I am finally catching up with Being Human (NOT the horrid American SyFy version... and I've just watched an episode where Kai Owen had a bit part... also realized there are lots of DW alumni involved in that show!)

Last night was CSTS Chicago. The usual Jossy type stuff being auctioned and sold. Got me some Alliance money a couple shirts and a big bag of Buffy card game cards. This year the screening included Dr. Horrible and an intermission performance by local filk legend Luke Ski. After door prizes (been going for six gorram years ain't never won once) Serenity started up. Ah the Big Damn Movie on the big damn screen. Blast was had by all.
