Well, Frem, bear in mind that our very own Wulfie here has, on numerous occasions, stated that once he and his buddies got their way, they were going to "make us pay", and that all those others would get only what he gave them. And remember as well that he has claimed that he wanted to gather up all the "liberals" along with all the "illegals" and have them all killed or deported.

So far from condemning this right-wing Christo-fascist wing-nut, Wulfie-boy here wants to grow up to be JUST LIKE HIM.

Of course, he also threatened to fill me full of forty-caliber holes for disagreeing with him.

How very libertarian of him, eh?

Frem, you're always talking about how you want everything to be destroyed, how is it any different when Wulf says it? Note that I understand that you want different things, but you're both very vitriolic and it can come across similarly to someone scanning the thread, some mean words here, an insult there, you know. Just sayin.

Wulf: I see what you're _trying to say about if someone else had a gun there they could have shot the badguy. But as others have said people are allowed to own firearms in Norway so the point doesn't really head in the direction you're thinking of. But I know what you meant.

Magon's, yeah, the media is notorious for assumptions and thus they get the people all worked up and thinking that way too. They put together the limited facts that they had and tried to make them explain the situation, but it didn't work right because they assumed and didn't have all the facts yet.

PN has a point about Waco, sure I don't mind the cult leader guy dying, but killing all those kids and then justifying it by saying that since the government did it then its okay and expecting people to go along with it quietly is horrid. I think he's trying to say he wonders why people get upset about this random shooter lunatic stuff but when the government does it people just go along with it and don't make a fuss. Good point PN.

As for political camps for kids, I think they exist here too, I'm sure there's something like Future Progressives of America camp or something, though I've never seen anything about such a thing, but there probably is something like that, so it isn't fair to immediately jump to "Hitler Youth" and say that out loud on the air. I definitely would never send my kids to a camp that pertains to a political party, I'd find it a lil' creepy, but I'd never say that out loud on the air in front of everyone, especially after a tragedy like this. They were kids no matter what the camp was it was full of kids. If he has a problem then he should have killed all the grownups meeting for pre camp briefings, if he was hell bent on killing, something that is silly anyways in this situation.

I hope the Norwegians climb out of the pansy patch on this one and either lock him up forever or go ahead and institute a death penalty option if he's convicted, because this is horrible and can't be allowed to happen again, if he just gets 20 years then when he gets out he'll do it again.

Kwicko wrote: "The idea of "gun control" is to keep guns out of the hands of BAD people. You know - people like you, Laughner, and Breivik here."

I have to disagree on this point.

I'm not a fan of gun control. Yes, I think weapons should be kept out of the hands of "bad" people. Yet, who determines who is "bad"?

Is a felon who has served their time, considered "bad"? I thought the whole point of jail, was to "pay your debt" to society. Afterwards, you are supposed to be "square with the house".

Determining who is "bad" is a very slippery slope. You don't like someone; their views, philosophies, race, sexual orientation, religion... and suddenly they are the "bad" guys.

Not to mention that anyone who wants a gun, will be able to get one... somehow or the other.

I'm also really concerned with this new push towards mental/emotional profiling in gun-control as well. You may feel depressed for a bit, go in for some counseling, and get better. Because of this you are banned from owning a machine to protect your life? Does that make sense?

Maybe you are a nervous wreck because you got car jacked? You go in for help. But by doing so, you are banned from owning a machine that might make you feel/be safer.

Writing with sore scrolling finger (sigh...), I think it's hysterical that Beck (who wanted to be back in the spotlight, so came up with the most inflammatory think he could think of) compared it to Hitlr Youth when

Quote:

Despite Beck expressing surprise that political movements would hold camps for children, followers of his 9/12 Project – which aims to "recapture the spirit of the day after America was attacked" – have this summer been doing just that.

Organisers of the "vacation liberty schools" in several states told the Daily Telegraph how they taught children as young as eight a Tea Party-endorsed curriculum spanning religion, economics and political principles.

I'm quite happy to let our ignoramuses represent right-wing extremists, as it helps to remind me what their ilk IS so I don't take them seriously, and I'm not about to bite on Wulf's bloodthirsty desire to make everything about guns, or Raptor's desperate attempts to find ways to blame Muslims and liberals. Let 'em rant I say; it's amusing, if nothing else, and a constant reminder of the mentality.

Riona, the point is I want them to destroy EACH OTHER, instead of us - if you could lock up all these extremist, intolerant, hating cretins in a cage and let them fight it out till only one remains, I'd friggin riverdance to the bodies hitting the floor, you bet - and then shoot the lucky "winner" in the head!

To me this ain't about who he did it to or why, as it seems to be to some, who may not admit it, but it shows, that their primary *issue* with it wasn't WHAT he did, but who and how...

No, to me, this is shit you should NEVER do, to ANYONE, and I realize it may come across as somewhat hypocritical, but remember I am speaking of folk who have already MADE the decision to engage in conduct like this, if they can only get away with it, if they can only justify it, or if they can get some kind of political "Authorization" - cause really, what's the difference between this guy, and one of our troops to signed up to "kill those damn sand n***er raghead muslim fucks!" shooting up falluah ?

Really, what, official sanction ?
Fuckin meaningless - cause war is nothing more than the systematic, organized murder of folks who mostly don't even have a dog in the fight beyond defending their own turf and lives.

To point a weapon with intent at someone you do not know, have never met, has never yet done any harm to you, and fire it - there's NO excuse for that act in my book whatsoever, and those that do so, or desire to do so if they can only get some from of sanction for their murderous impulse...
Yeah, I DO think the only cure for such Jackals is a rope, they deserve no better.

No, he didn't. But you'll try to use that fairy tale to off set the reality of the global jihadists of our time.

My only question is - why ?

I think it must be some glitch in the Liberal mind, which absolutely insists that all things be equal. If Muslims are bad, its' because Christians were bad, or ARE equally bad, despite the lack of evidence.

It's like Obama blowing up the US deficit, then whining about how the GOP won't 'compromise' in fixing the mess HE himself caused.

You have a funny sense of reality, Rappy. I already posted Hitler's own quotes about his religion and what he felt his mission on Earth was. This was settled long ago, despite your inability to face the truth.

And you can't face the truth about your own party's role in creating the debt crisis, either. Obama didn't go out and put the nation 14 trillion in debt all on his own. In fact, well under 20% of that debt has anything to do with Obama.

Sorry, I don't recognize tax cuts as a 'cost'. That money doesn't belong to the govt, and so it's not theirs to count as belonging to them, before it gets 'contributed'.

No idea where that graph you posted comes from, but it's laughably inaccurate.

And yes, Hitler's motivation was settled long ago, and Christianity had next to nothing to do with his wanting to conquer the world. But nice try.

You know, bizarre satanic mason atheist stuff aside, some of the information PN put up about the drills before this attack is rather compelling.

I think, even though the suspect is in custody, we may never know what really happened here. Much like a number of other still mysterious attacks.

I've been avoiding this thread because for a while there the world was just getting too dark for me. Extremists of any sort targeting kids. I could speculate on the psychology, family, and history/profile of a person who might do something like this, but I'll leave it there and just say that Frem's point about how we treat kids is right, and this is just a symptom of how sick society in general has become.
