Big storm. Apparently something like 300,000 homes lost power and we were one of them. Pretty minor on the damage scale but we were dark for a while.

In unrelated news one of our cats is locked in the next room and mewling piteously about it. She's locked in that room because she's developed the habit of spraying all over the house. That and other changes in behavior and some weight loss had the vets stumped but we now think that she may actually be in heat. Strange considering that we had her spayed. I didn't think those grew back.

Did anybody catch Torchwood? Good but it started off slow - Twenty minutes in before Captain Jack showed up - don't they know we want to get straight to the good stuff?

HI DAVE!!!!

Yay we are alive. Lots going on here!

I did see Torchwood and I agree it's slow... and I honestly haven't liked it as much since the demise of well... EVERYONE!!!! Still JB is a hunk and a great actor too, plus it's nice to give new actors a chance to prove themselves in this plot line! Still it would only be absolutely perfect if they brought back Owen...again.

Hopefully now that they have all of the setup out of the way they can get into the action.

Owen? yeah maybe a little but his character always felt a bit superfluous to me. All they really have to do is write Jack as slightly more of a jerk and Owen's roll is filled.

I'd like to say I miss Tosh but they never really figured out what to do with her. Perhaps if they did a magically assertive Tosh that did something other than be the permanent victim of circumstance that would be nice. Those sentences also pretty adequately describe Ianto too.

They could bring back Susie for a, "They Keep, Keep killing Susie" episode though. That would be fun.

Rhys is still an unfun stick in the Welsh mud. What do the writers see in that character?

Anyway, Dad's birthday today so have to get ready for the big day at the track. Hasta la manana.
