Well, damn.

I can't say I know what the situation is, but it sounds to me like her mother called the cops on her own daughter during a heated argument, and just now her mother is learning why you shouldn't invoke the justice system on family or non-serious incidents.

I hate it when parents do that. For some reason all they can think is "THIS will teach this unruly offspring of mine a lesson in respect!" instead of "you know, wait, maybe this is overkill." And then when the justice system acts as its intended, they realize, "oh, this is much more harsh than I intended, now I have to get my kid out of this mess I tossed them into."

Exactly, but they of course get off scott free. It's bull shit cus 50% of the problem is her mother, so her mother should get 50% of the punishment rom the law-man. If this were the Empire, her om would be exactly with her.

I agree with you most of the time Byte, that family disputes should be kept within the family, but sometimes if one person is beating up the other then it is good to get the law involved. Jennifer's friends Ashley (daughter) and Adrien (mother) got into a heated argument and Ashley beat up Adrien. Adrien called the cops (Note that Ashley is an adult) and I don't blame Adrien for doing it. Nothing came of it though. But yeah I think in situations like that where physical violence of a notable nature is present then its okay to call the cops if ya want.
