To Wishway, how about Rupert Murdoch is an S_B.
Yours sounds better though. You should have been a writer for SGU. It would still be on the air if you were. :-)

Ooops, I meant wishimay. :-( My family would be so upset, spend all that money for college and can't even get a name right.

Dreamtrove: Hooah. But not just Firefly, the conspiracy was to get rid of all space genre, fill the void with meaningless reality TV, rotting our cerbral cortex until we vote the bachelor for president as long as it's Rush Limbaugh, or a clone.
I have even now got Dr. Who programmed in. I am dying of space genre withdrawl and reruns only slightly help the pain.
Can somebody please revolt in LA at Fox and Universal. Can we deport reality show writers to Iraq or Timbuktu. Pleeeeeeeeeeze

All serious sf shows cost a lot of money. Fortunately, there's a lot of old content to watch, shows and movies. I don't imagine the will be any new content, as television will expire. Some day youtubers will create competing content, but not for a while.
Considering how formulaic the content has become, I say, small loss to most of it. I enjoy the new dr. Who, it's catchier than the old, but i find myself going back and forth.
As for deporting reality shows, then we'd all be watching reality shows set in Iraq and Timbuktu. It would be more like outsourcing.
That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.
