That's not really fair. I don't mind knowing what's happened when I watch something or the second time, but I also like surprises.

see that's what I'm saying...spoilers take away the surprise that you get the first time a story is told.
That doesn't mean you don't watch the show (or read the story) again and again and again...
You get different things out of each viewing/reading
but you only have the possibility of the surprise once

Knowing what will happen in a film can also have an impact on your perception of it every time you see it again. This isn't really spoilery unless you don't want to know a thing about Spiderman2, but it speaks to the idea of your first impression lasting:

When we were in the theater watching Spiderman2 and all those people were carrying him through the train car my boyfriend leaned over and whispered, "the Passion of the Spiderman." It was funny, but when I went to see the movie again I couldn't take that part seriously because I kept thinking of the joke.
Some people like to predict what's going to happen in the story. I know people who were proud that they figured out the surprise in The Sixth Sense. Those would be the people who don't care about spoilers. But I want my movies like my roller coasters. It's a lot more fun if I don't know what's around the corner. I'll suspend my disbelief any day.
"Dear diary, today I was pompous and my sister was crazy."
