Joss had a whole TV show make it on the air and off the air again. It's called Dollhouse. Oh wait but you wanted to know about stuff you missed. If you missed Dollhouse you didn't miss anything. Zing!

Joss is also going to direct the Avengers movie! Now that could be interesting. Huge blockbuster movie that could make big money. Could give Joss some pull in hollywood. Also Storymark gets to be a shield agent in a scene!! Commence being jealous.

That's about it.

People talked about irrelevant trivia..we bemoaned the lack of Firefly on the airwaves...we speculated on the meaning of various character's actions... some people wrote some fan fic..... some people argued politics and got mad because they couldn't convince others of their viewpoints... and we all got older

There's also been a few new comic books and some short stories.

And there's always new folk showing up every few days. :)

There was a fan-related "incident" a few months ago called the "Help Nathan Buy Firefly" movement. It was basically fans being fans, but there were some legal and financial issues that shut it down, the cast and crew kinda had to come out and calm the mob. Right now we're holding our breath and hoping we didn't do more harm than good with that one.

I hear whispers now and then from Dark Horse that they'd really like to serialize Firefly, as the comics they've released have been some of their better one-shot sellers.

Joss has always said he had some vision for Firefly that he wanted to keep open for more television or movies, so he's been holding on to that. But he's also been letting his lil' brother try his hand at writing in the verse to help him break into the biz, and it's been pretty good first efforts so far. Might be Joss'll set aside some time period where Zach can just play, and we'll get a serial that way. It already looks like they expanded the timeline in between the end of the series and the movie from six months (said in the movie) to two years, and maybe this is setting up for something like that.

Avengers might give us some opportunities too, so fingers crossed!
