After some foot-dragging, interspersed with heated debate with my wife on the topic, I've determined that I'll begin flight lessons in 2005 (would start right away but waiting for spring lets me budget and study up first). It's something I've been wanting to do for a couple of years and hey, life's short, right?

So, any pilots here? I'm wondering how much of a detriment my height (6' 7") will be.

Right on! Congratulations! Makes me wish I could afford to get current again.

I'm 6'3" and never had any problems with the small Cessnas (two seater, single engine, land). Just watch your head on the way in. I never really paid attention to how close my head was to the ceiling though, so four inches could make a big difference.

Oh, and make sure you open the door and stick your head out every so often.

I shaved off my beard for you, devil woman!
