I don't know how I feel about PN spewing in other fora. I mean, it's bad enough that he posts links to virus infected sites on RWED, but now he's junking up talk story? Gotta draw a line somewhere.

Has he ever posted anything actually related to Firefly?

Yeah, I get an awful lot of malware warnings just from PN's links and pictures trying to load here - and I don't even click on any of his links!

Isn't he the very definition of SPAM? I'm all for free speech, but PN seems to be knowingly trying to pass along viruses and malware.

By the way, PN started infesting the other areas of the forum when Haken had RWED discussions stop popping up on the main page as active discussions.

I agree with Quicko that PN should keep mean nasty posts on the RWED board. If he wants to be mean and post nasty stuff I think he should keep it out of the general area.

PN I'm sorry that you believe so many unpleasant things. Please try and only post in RWED and not here in the general area. We don't want to see that stuff here please.

I too agree but I guess he's here because he doesn't get the attention he craves in RWED anymore. He was posting in the scifi section awhile ago with posts that used footage from animated TV shows to keep it 'on topic'. The rest of the post was his usual stuff.
How would anyone stop him from posting elsewhere?
Haken would have to move all his posts there which would take up time I'm sure he doesn't have.

That's actually my biggest problem with his posts. Whether he actually truly believes in what he posts or whether it's just spam. He NEVER states his own opinion. He just posts links and articles from other people. Because of the amount he posts (and the nature of the posts) he probably is as twisted as we think but without him actually stating what he thinks we can never truly know.

Nice try but I think that appealing to his better nature is useless because I don't imagine he has one. The only two people that can stop him are himself and Haken. Haken has always been fair in letting people post what they want without heavy moderation. It's one of the many great things about this site that.
What I'd like to see is a notificaton that it's his post in the title. Something like adding 'PN' to the start automatically. A bit like what folks did in RWED by adding 'not PN' to their title. Then he still has the right to post but we don't have to click the link.

I think they have reason to complain. A TV show will be the same story, rewritten in Gilligan's Island format, where the story is a circle, and the negative stereotyping never ends.

I can't speak for anybody else, but if I saw posts with PN at the start I'd just skip them. I'd know they contain the worst kind of spew imaginable. And if people are skipping his posts, they're not seeing his links and he's not getting the attention he wants.

I doubt he'd voluntarily tag his own posts for that reason alone. Haken would have to engineer some sort of automatic tag for him.

At that point he'd probably start off topic spewing in other folks threads. Which would probably lead to an eventual dropping of the ban hammer.

Suggest it to Haken. It's been mentioned many times on the board that the author's username should appear to the right of the thread, for various reasons. It's probably just a good idea, not specifically to silence anyone, but just to make this a better information system.
