I'm just curious to know if there will be any Firefly fans other than myself in the theater with me. I live in the suburbs, about two hours west of Chicago.

I'm downstate in Champaign, myself. If the cineplexes near me go crazy and don't carry Serenity, I'll probably have to come up your way. But I don't think that'll happen, and I don't have room in my car for 20+ converts, in any case.

Too often when I tell people I'm from Illinois, they go, "Chicago?" And I say, "No, about three hours South." And they say, "Oh." And that's that.

On a side note, you can go two HOURS west of Chicago and still be in the suburbs? That disturbs me.

I'm actually in South Bend, Indiana, but you might be interested to know there's the Browncoat Ball fan shindig in Chicago in September (you have to register by August 15th though).

It's organized by the Chicagoland Browncoats, so there's a bunch of IL Browncoats right there. :) I think they mostly hang out on the OB though.
