Well done flick. I saw the original, but all I remember was that TRON was a BASIC debugging command (TRace ON, worked with TROFF, or TRace OFF, where was the TROFF character?)

Well, I went on opening day, and I have to say that the 3D was nowhere near as effective as AVATAR (and the glasses were a whole lot more painful). Maybe it had something to do with the limited color palette: it was like 97% Black!
I like it a whole lot better watching at home on my iMac in 2D.
Have y'all seen this? (Sadly, it's not available on YouTube)

Umm, is that a teaser for the next film? A deleted ending?

It's a Blu-ray special feature - they're actively touting a third one (though as the middle film in a new trilogy).
I liked Tron Legacy - Jeff Bridges is always but always watchable and there was a lot to like (the designs, the music, Olivia Wilde in skin tight rubber) but it did suffer in that the son never really engages with the audience. We don't get to see how being deprived of his father hurt him or how he feels or really anything like that - this is just another one of his rich kid adventures.
Oh and I always link to this whenever someone complains about 3D films:

Ingenious method that allows you to go see 3D movies with friends in 2D (although you're still having to pay the extra few quid for the privilege).

A deleted scene.

Just watched it- wow, not too bad! I really liked it. Sonisall said it was OK as a stand alone flick, but terrible as a sequel. I agreed to a point. Still, better than the Matrix sequels or the Star Wars prequels IMO. And Jeff... ahh Jeff, what a great actor. Even CGI'd. And what a music score!!! Awesome!!
Thoughts?

So far I've watched and re-watched it 12 times. I just like it. Funny thing is, since it's so ingrained in my noggin, I found something interesting. I re-watched the original TRON on Showtime yesterday. Besides the essential plot line, they raped soooooo many lines and scenes from the original. It was comical to me.
Because of this, I would actually consider TRON: Legacy a reboot rather than a sequel to the original. But that's just me.
