Wacky Coincidence

So I was showing Firefly to my mom tonight, and as the opening credits are passing by and Jewel Staite's name comes up, my mom says, "Jewel Staite... Where do I know tha-- She went to auditions with your sister!"

I was quite stricken, to say the least. This was ages ago, mind you, back when they were both like, 9 or 10, but I still couldn't beleive it. Again, they were only passing aquaintances, but what a small world, eh? If only they'd formed a lasting friendship, I could now be like, "Hey Jewel! I'm your friend's wacky brother, gimme a tour of the Serenity set and introduce me to everyone!"

Crazy, huh?
