Qaddafi steps down

Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi has agreed to step down after 30 years in power, handing control over to a provisional government which will be set up by Dr. Mansour O. El-Kikhia. The move was lauded by the United States and Israel, and provides an unexpected boost to US President Barack Obama in validation of his unorthodox new approach to foreign policy.
