I'm totally fine with these hearings, and the notion of investigating the spread of extremist Muslims in the country.
I do find it hilarious that righties loose their shit if someone should even dare to suggest that right-wing extremists should be looked at as well. Not even in lieu of.... but just mentioning the fact that there are right wing terrorists just sets them right the fuck off. Very amusing, and rather telling about them.

Well, for one, the original subject of the thread is domestic Islamic terrorism, as in, America. Under which case I agree with you that the only way we can define terrorism in America as separate from ordinary crime is attacks on civilians and non-combatants in the name of an agenda or religion.
But for two, after I read through all of those, it really sounds less like Muslim terrorists out to promote Islam, and more like sectarian violence in an unstable region of the world.
Most of those appear to be Sunni/Shiite conflict, with some hits on the pacifistic Sufi.

It's your favorite statement, but it has NO TRUTH TO IT. Nobody is ignoring OR denying there's a problem; we are saying that there is MORE than Muslim terrorism going on so all terrorism should be "investigated"; we are saying that untruths have been said to try and paint a picture which is fallacious; we are saying that targeting mosques and saying 80% of them teach terrorism is false (which it is); we are saying that King and others have political motives beyond just "investigating" terrorism; we are saying there has always been terrorism, and to make such s public show of investigating Muslims alone, especially when there have been OTHER acts of terrorism having nothing to do with Muslims just recently, is a farce.
I pointed out several ways in which this is a farce, in that King chose to leave AUTHORITIES in terrorism completely out of his "investigation", and lies have been told.
But nowhere, at any time, has ANYONE denied there is a problem; nowhere has ANYONE ignored that there is a problem. We just don't obsess about it like you do, partly because we know as individuals we can't do anything about it and because there are other VERY important things going on which affect EACH OF US individually. The odds of any one of us being the victim of terrorism...Muslim or otherwise...are miniscule, so we choose not to WALLOW IN IT.
I'm sick to DEATH of you spewing your favorite little bugaboo that we're "ignoring" and "denying" anything. But of course it won't stop; at every conceivable opportunity you will claim it again. That makes you a flat-out liar, so there's no reason to pay any further attention to you and your paranoia.
