Quote:I never did. See, this is what makes me so god damn furious. I go to the trouble of listing examples ( where the morons here always falsely claim I never do) and what do I get for it ? A blatant over exaggeration and distortion of what I posted. I never said EVERY immigrant, EVERY muslim, or ANY GOD DAMN THING REMOTELY TO THAT EFFECT!

Sorry AURaptor. You shouldn't make assumptions about all immigrants like that.
Quote:The information is accurate. The BASIC FACTS aren't even being disputed by you. Was he an immigrant ? Yes. Was he a Muslim ? Yes. Did he shoot and kill, as I stated ? YES!!!!
Getting basic facts wrong, even if they're obscure, makes it look like you might be wrong on other stuff too. Vet your information.
Again, whether you want to agree w/ it or not, is YOUR problem. I also omitted tons of other examples, like the student at UNC who drove his car through a crowded quad, hoping to kill as many Americans as he could. Thankfully, he didn't succeed.
HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A former student from Iran was sentenced to up to 33 years in prison Tuesday for plowing his sport utility vehicle into a crowd at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in a self-professed bid to avenge Muslim deaths overseas.
Mohammed Taheri-Azar, 25, pleaded guilty earlier this month to nine counts of attempted murder for the March 2006 attack at a popular outdoor gathering spot known as The Pit.

My Muslim friend denounces jihad, especially considering jihadists and Saddam Hussein chased her family out of Iraq. So there's at least one for you.
She's a real sweet girl, very into anime if you can believe it. When she heard about the U.S. planning to go to war in Iraq, she recruited a bunch of us to make origami cranes, so that she could wish for her family's safety.
That's super. Glad to hear it.

What you said was it was an example of Muslim terrorism. He was a Muslim, but even the FBI says this wasn't an act of jihad.
I'm sorry for making you angry, but this was not a distortion, this is the factual information of the case. You saw Muslim, you saw shooting, and you assumed terrorist and jihad. Not so, and the FBI would agree with me. He was just a quiet kid who snapped one day. In this way he is much more like Loughner than the other cases you listed.
Side note: My initial "Sorry AuRaptor" was also apologetic, shortened from "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't agree there." It occurs to me that came off perhaps smartass, and that wasn't my meaning.
The reason I asked you to vet your information better, which I understand frustrates you when you feel you have and which I can also understand how you might think that's offensive, is because I think we should be careful to not blur the line between terrorism and ordinary crime. I would not want to be waterboarded because I went to a protest march that didn't have it's proper permits, or if I distributed a pamphlet encouraging people to attend an illegal protest. The Trolley Square shooting was a violent crime, so perhaps it doesn't matter as much in this case, but I feel popular beliefs and sentiments can create legal precedents.
I don't think you intentionally did anything here, but that one slipped through, and other people are likely to jump on you for little slip-ups like that. You can save yourself a lot of headache.

Quote:But you didn't specify a subset of Muslim either. You listed a bunch of "Muslims," and then justified seeing "this group" as a threat.

Here's your list:
Quote:How are we supposed to know "this group" you see as a threat is a specific subset of Muslim, if you don't say otherwise?
D.C. Snipers - Muslims
Ft Hood shooter - Muslim
Shoe Bomber - Muslim
El Al Airline shooter at LAX - Muslim
TImes Square Bomber - Muslim
Seattle shooter at Jewish school - Muslim
Denver shooter of 4 co-workers and a police officer - Muslim
Salt Lake City shooter of 5 is an immigrant - Muslim
All we see is your trying to justify seeing "Muslims" as a threat. And we protest that overgeneralization.
Now if you had said,
Quote:and that we need to watch out for extremist psycho violent Muslims, then no one would be arguing with you. If you had shown you understood these extremist psycho violent Muslims do not represent the other 1.6 billion human beings of the Islam faith, then we might be able to agree to focus on the "extremist psycho violent" part and leave the many innocent Muslims alone.

You're kidding, right? Tell me that you're simply joking. Because I already once specifically described who I meant, those who do such acts in the name of Allah, not ALL Muslims. It goes with out saying, or should - to anyone with basic understanding - that those Muslims who commit such acts who are by default "extremist psycho violent Muslim", right ?
I mean, is that too hard to figure out ? I think not.
I feel no compulsion to over explain myself, to go around and around and preface my remarks to the hilt, so as to avoid any such phonied up misunderstanding,to avoid the inevitable backlash. There's no amount of prep work I could ever do to keep from being vilified, so why should I bother ?

I don't like these hearings at all. This is a big waste of taxpayer money, and a waste of time for the Govt. We have far more serious problems than having hearings because of a few Muslim murderers in America. I think King and his ilk have fallen victim to propaganda that claims that 75% of American mosques are teaching their followers radical jihad. Common sense tells us that if that were even remotely true, we'd be having Muslim terror incidents every day. We don't. Case closed. King is misguided here.

Focus on "extremist psycho violence" which comes in all colors and religions.
It is like saying, I hate "extremist psycho violent 2 legged people." Adding the descriptor "2 legged" is 1) irrelevant because what you really hate is the extremist psycho violence, not the fact that they have 2 legs; and 2) prejudicial because it associates extremist psycho violence with having 2 legs.
Let's take it a step closer to home. Let's say some leftwinger posts a list like yours, but beside each name, instead of Muslim, they write "Republican." The fact that some of these psychos are Republican is irrelevant. There are millions of Republicans who don't go psycho violent on people. The only reason to point out they are Republican is to denigrate Republicans in general.
So pointing out they are Muslim is both irrelevant and prejudicial. It is simply an old trick to to denigrate a certain ideology by associating it with violence.
Pointing out that those people are extremist psycho violent freaks is sufficient to address the threat.

King isn't in the least bit misguided. He's simply opening his eyes to the real issues. There's no propaganda which states " 75% of American mosques are teaching ... radical jihad ". But the hard cold fact of the matter is, there are some mosques which are teaching exactly that. To deny that, for the sake of Political Correctness, is beyond asinine. Those mosques which ARE teaching that are all King's hearings are about. YOU want to pretend everyone is peace and allah loving, and that simply is not the case.
Good for King and his ilk. I applaud them for living in reality, and not turning a blind eye to those who want to kill us and take our freedoms.

No. Because they ARE Muslims, and to deny that would be folly. I refuse to play stupid to placate the PC nazis and pretend this 1000 year old mindset is exactly on par as a handful of KKK nuts or any other fringe

Not all religions today have a hankering for death like those from the Muslim faith. That's simply a fact. And that's what we must be faced with, today. OUR time, in which was live and can can impact.
Quote:It's nothing like that. There are evil, blood thirsty killers, and then there are religious zealots who want to usher in a new era of Islam , at any and all costs.

As long as you correctly point out that they're Muslims.

Why They Celebrate Murdering Children
Islam is as Islam does.
Do you think the State Department noticed that no one in Arizona, Mexico, or even Mars took to the streets to celebrate the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords? No one seemed to think it was a “natural” act — the Islamic term du jour to rationalize the throat-slitting massacre of a sleeping Jewish family: 36-year-old Udi Fogel, his 35-year-old wife, Ruth, and, yes, their three children: 11-year-old Yoav, 4-year-old Elad, and Hadas, their 3-month-old baby.
There had been about a week between this most hideous Muslim barbarity and . . . well, the last hideous Muslim barbarity. On that one, the Obama administration could not bring itself to label as “terrorism” a Kosovar jihadist’s gory attack on American airmen in Germany.
Arid Uka had opened fire in a sneak attack at the Frankfurt airport, killing two and seriously wounding two others while screaming the obligatory “Allahu Akbar!” Wasn’t that a terrorist attack? Gee whiz, you know, the State Department’s chief spokesman just couldn’t say. After all, in P. J. Crowley’s mindless yet seemingly inevitable comparison, “was the shooting of congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords a terrorist attack?”
Muslims are frequently found carrying out the Koranic directive to “strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers.” Actually, make that the Koranic theme, so often is it reiterated in the scriptures devout Muslims take to be the verbatim commands of Allah. (See, e.g., Suras 3:151, 8:12–13, 8:60, 9:5, 33:25–27, 59:2–4, 59:13.) And that is beside the hadith, scriptures in which Mohammed, taken to be the perfect Muslim role model, boasts, “I have been made victorious with terror.” (Bukhari 4.52.220 — just scroll down from here, through the glories promised to Muslims who wage jihad against the infidels.)
Muslims, in fact, are more often exhorted by their scriptures to brutalize non-Muslims than Christians are urged by the gospels to love their enemies and turn the other cheek. Yet, though we assume the latter are meant to take the message to heart, we are somehow sure Islam doesn’t really mean what it says — that when Muslims strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, it must be Israel’s fault, or America’s, or something, anything, other than Islam, the only common denominator in these attacks.
