People! Please, please!

Tarantino is Not going to direct serenity, or come anywhere near it. The thread creator said he wanted to start a petition, nothing more. While he's fully entitled to do so, don't lose any sleep.

A) Directors of movies do not switch off based on internet petitions

B) This is Joss's baby. He would give himself a malt vinegar enema before relinquishing it.

C) Tarantino wouldn't touch it anyway. Not his style at all.

That said, why all the Tarantino trashing? Whenever someone insults Firefly with no proper backing, fans pile on (As they should) like frenzied (Though polite and articulate) animals. You don't have to be a fan of QT's style to appreciate a talented director, or at least not trash him with unsubstantiated claims and insults. Yeah, expressing an opinion goes hand-in-hand with explaining why you're not supporting a petition, I just don't like to see good material not given a fair chance. Isn't that why we all hate Fox?

Why would you ever want to change the flavour of the series? That's the whole point!

Joss is over half way through filming Serenity, so Tarantino can't do it. Joss is going to want to do the next two and there's no-one but you wants a replacement. Sorry to say it but you've just got to give up on an awful, awful idea.

Tarrantino...jeez. He needs to be beaten to the edge of death...not DEATH...just the EDGE of death. Then he can heal up....and when he heals up to almost 100% but not quite...then he could be beaten to DEATH. Sorry...I needed to vent at that absurd idea.
