I don't watch the show but I've caught bits of this story in the media and it's no big surprise to me. His life appears to be a rollercoaster of this type of behaviour - up and down, on and off drink and drugs. That's the choices he made so he deserves whatever's coming to him.
I don't think he'll be around this world much longer either. Good riddance to the jerk.

I'm actually pretty surprised they fired him. For starters that show is apparently crushing the ratings even though I've never met a soul who claims to watch it. Even if he's being a jerk, he's still getting a ton of media attention and people don't seem to dislike him over it. I'd think the ratings would only get better because of all this. Without him on the show I imagine the ratings will suffer and it will slowly decline for a season or 2 before being dropped.
