Yeah it takes me to the results pages as well.

And not to be critical but I couldn't answer the second question accurately anyway. You ask 'How did you learn about Firefly?'
I found out about it on the internet through being a Buffy + Angel fan. There is no option for that and I'm sure it would apply to quite a few people that were just following Joss's work.

Hi Guys,

Really sorry for the confusion. I ran into another snag and had to go back to the original Science channel poll. I found out that the free version of the Survey Monkey program only allows for 100 responses. I originally intended for it to reside on the Science channel anyway so that traffic was driven to their site. Advertisers look at page hits, so this seems like an important detail.
Anyway, you DO need to register with the forum to take the poll, but it's a very easy reg. The link to the poll is:

I really appreciate you taking the time to take the survey. I'd love to have all the original fans counted for, but also want to see how the fan base has grown over the years.

As for the person who was worried about the question of how she found out, I did not add "previous fan of Buffy" which would have been a good option, but there is a "Saw a web page, article, or news item. Unfortunately, I can't edit my own posts. for some reason it isn't giving me the permissions, or I would have changed some things already.

Too stupid to figure out how to answer the gorram poll.
I didn't have a TV in 2002.
Family got me to watch DVD set as soon as it came out.
Fell hopelessly in love with the 'Verse.

Ni Howdy, folks,

Sorry it took so long to reply. I work 12 hours a day driving cab in Vegas and am getting 4-5 hours sleep due to all the posting. The HNBFF was melting down and I was trying to reach as many as possible before they faded away.
If my internets skills had been better, I would have gotten thousands of responses before it all went kablooey. I got the poll up on the last day of cohesion.
Anyhoo, I wish i'd made a more detailed poll, but the forum tools Science channel is using kept losing my poll. eventually i went with just 4 questions and finally got it to stick.

I got some very cool news today, but can't tell until I get it finalized.

I have a plan to get Celebrities to take the poll and write a blurb about how they found the show etc. Then, we get their fan base hooked on Firefly and get all of them to take the poll. Eventually we have enough numbers that a studio has to think about it. These will be hard numbers with some basic demo info.
Interesting note: the respondents so far have been almost exactly 50/50 m/f for the entire length of the poll.
Not surprisingly, Most of the respondents have been original fans who are active in the community and participate regularly. I know there are more new fans, but they aren't invested in the same way. Hence the celebrity involvement. OOOOh Sheldon Cooper took the poll, must follow suit.....( Still working on Sheldon BTW)

On the ramp coming in, if we know you're new (i.e. announcing it) we'll steer you over to the table set up behind the mule.
Jugs of Mudder's, and your own mug.
Strawberries and a variety of what dips 'em best whether you like cream cheese, chocolate, wasabi...you know the drill.
Then the fitting of the virtual Coat.
You'll be directed to cargo-bay storage with extra boxes or really big trunks, and then up to the galley to question the buffet.
Ice-planets are in short supply until I make my next foray but I see that Ben and Jerry were here with a small shipment of Late Night Snack - - you'll find what's left of the current supply in the bottom compartment of the cooler.
About the buffet, the shimmerwine fountain is at the after end of the table, but be careful putting your feet too far under. There's been something/someone living under there since about '04 or '05.
Have a good time and don't annoy the captain.
