I know, I'm Mr States-the-obvious, aren't I?

And I'll do it again...

Man, Firefly was great show, it should have gone longer than it did.

But jeez, why do other people get a 'welcome to the 'verse' and that and 'yeah you're right firefly was awesome gorram fox!' and I get 'No shit'. Well, I guess I never said I was new to the 'verse, which I'm not, nor are a lot of other people.

Well, you really need to announce yersef or how in the golblinkets are we to know?
In point of fact, when I saw your name I said to myself, "Now that'un seems newish," so I moused ever so gently over it and it came up as 43706, which makes you recent enough to warrant a welcome if you want one. Many of us just de-lurk and join the festivities, so it's not an always thing.
I think a lot of the ramp crew who make it a point to welcome (announced) new crew are off on a re-supply mission, up in the galley fixing fresh treats for the buffet, taking the Jayne Tour of Cut-Rate "Companions," whooping it up at one of the public saloon baths, or otherwise occupying themselves. It takes two of us just to maintain the supply of fits-all virtual browncoats!

So, here's your very own mug of Mudder's Milk, a punnet of strawberries and the requisite dipping cream, and your very own virtual browncoat. Wear it in good health! Stow your stuff down here and stake out a bunk in the expansion area. We'll expect you in the galley to question the buffet. No need to dress fancy.
