I just started watching this series a couple of days ago thanks to netflix since i can stream it all. Love the show so far but just noticed how there are also movies made during the middle of seasons. SO what is the order your supposed to watch everything in. I just finished season one when i saw there is a show now called caprica which is set before battlestar galactica. So should i start by watching caprica first? I don't really care which way they were meant to be watched but what do u guys suggest? My plan was just to watch season 1 through 4 and then watch all the movies at the end and then start watching caprica. Or mix the movies in-between seasons or something. But again i have no idea and any help would be appreciated thanks.

These are the movies i found are there any im missing?

Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far (2009)
Battlestar Galactica: Razor (2007)
Battlestar Galactica: The Plan (2009)
Battlestar Galactica: Caprica (2009)

"The Story So Far" is just a recap done prior to the beginning of Season Three I believe. You can skip that one, and I also recommend you skip "The Plan." It mainly points out that Ron Moore and David Eick had only a minimal plan for the series, and it is full of ret-cons.

I assume you started with the mini-series from 2003 before going on to Season One. Continue with Season Two up to Episode 12, then watch "Razor," even though it was not broadcast until after the end of Season Three. After that, continue with the episodes in order.

Caprica is complete. It was canceled after its first season of eighteen episodes. It is perfectly alright to wait and watch that after you have finished with BSG.

EDITED COMMENT: I just remembered that "Razor" has some flashback scenes from episodes that come after S02E12, and I can't recall right now how many eps that might entail, so maybe it is best to watch that after Season Three after all.

Yeah, Caprica works best if you watch it well after BSG proper.

There's another series (well, a pilot, technically, but likely to be picked up), called "Blood and Chrome," but it's not out yet.

Start with the episode at the bottom and work your way to the top. Enjoy. I actually think BSG was a pretty decent show. Not outstanding, but it was good.

There's a Firefly in the sequence where Laura Roslin is first told she has cancer in the mini-series. If you look out the window above her head you'll see it go by kinda quickly.

Well im done with the show watched all the episodes. And im so very disappointed by how much season 3 and 4 sucked. Also what kind of ending is that to the show. The show turned into to a political nightmare. They were essentially at war the whole time yet they had time to fight amongst each other and cause strikes. Adoma seemed like a big pussy same with his son, his son should have been air locked along with baltar when he defended him. Marshal law should of been declared and any ship against should have been taken by force and everybody air locked(in war there is no room for politics and people rights u do as ur told or die). Kane style she was a bigger man then anybody on this show. The show was oright though season 1 and 2 and last season were good. Wish i would of only watched the part 1 and 2 of the 3 part finally. The last episode made me lose any respect i built for the characters. Can someone explain 2 things i missed i guess. Is baltar and caprica gods or something? And is thrace a cylon or what and why was that never explained?

Ps: sorry if my rant offended lovers of the show.

As for your questions - they real ones were not Gods. The "head" versions of them were part of or working for a higher power, by whatever term you wish to use.

And no, Kara wasn't a Cylon, she was in essence a ghost or angel sent back to get them on track.

I get why some people are bothered by the theological aspects of the show, but they were upfront with it from the very start.

Personally, I thought the political angles were what made the show great. Having everyone get along under such extreme circumstances is just a wee bit unbelievable.
