When I was still teaching 3rd grade, I had a student - a big, tough, limited English student, who picked up one of the Harry Potter books. It was way beyond his abilit (I thought), but hey, he was reading. It took him two months to finish it, but he did, and he passed the online test, too, so I knew he understood it. By the end of the school year he had read all four of the HP books (that was all that had been published) and had turned into an avid reader. His Endlish language skills flourished, and he changed from being kind of a schoolyard tough, to being a really cool kid.

I love Harry Potter. Still have kids reading them, although the Rick Riordan books are a bit "hotter" with the kids now.

I adore the Harry Potter books. I've read each one so many times it's ridiculous.
I got into them after the 3rd book was published. I was watching my goddaughter for a weekend while her parents were out of town ( she was 10 or so) and she was reading the 2nd book. I read her a few chapters then after she went to bed I stayed up and read books 1 and 2, then when her parents got home I went to the store and bought 3. Been reading and re-reading them ever since
I am totally jealous of one of our elementary schools. They have a life sized realistic Dobby in a glass case.

If it ever goes missing we'll know where to look.

Today was kinda craptastic. I'm tired and it's getting colder and windier by the minute. Bed is calling.

(Wanders off to the napping loft.)

I've gone off to sulk because the wonderful dream house is being sold to someone else. We weren't able to get cleared before he accepted someone else's offer
Sooooooo not happy right now

*HUGS MsA*
Will teh late paperwork that's been done be usuable for another home? *fingers crossed that it will, and that you'll find one that beats your dream home*

*swipes a substitution justsu from Naruto and uses it to fill ninjakitty's arms with a basket filled with: 1) a properly chilled and polished Can-O-Dew, 2) box of red vines, 3) an ice cream sammich, and 4) a box of eggos and assorted toppings (whip cream, syrup, fresh berries, coconut syrup, jellies, etc.)*
*checks and reserves the sound-proffed and auto-cleaning and refilling breakables room, requesting all of teh guns and walks in with a baseball bat*

That just bites. Will the paperwork apply to future houses?

On the other hand, something better is out there and is coming your way.

Hugs.
