Sorry to hear you're having to experience the divorce thing. (Almost through the divorce thing myself, I'm sorry my kids had to listen to what arguements they did. Sorry to hear you're having to listen any.) Anyways I seem to have the goofy-sounding suggestions around here, and here's another.
I'm finding lately that the Ballad of Jayne is a great song to sing to get me out of a bum mood. Next time you're stuck listening to stuff you don't want to hear, give it a go. Better yet, if you play an instrument, start working on it there.
Iron-ons are good idea too, (assuming you can iron or have someone willing to iron it for you). If you don't have access to a color inkjet, 11thhour's B/W graphics are cool! (And don't use a laser printer for iron-ons. Had someone try that at my last job once... it wasn't pretty.)
Oh, and the DVD. My out-of-the-blue-guess is it was in the player when someone else wanted to watch something, and it ended up in another DVD's case.

Gotta tell you, I think you have the most awesome attitude to be able to laugh during the upheaval you're going through. Your folks may be doing what is best for their relationship, but I get the feeling that they haven't quite plugged your opinions or needs into the equation recently and I'm truly sorry to hear that.
Still, the idea of making your own iron-on transfers is fantastic. You can download the graphics for free and the iron-on transfer paper for inkjets isn't very expensive. Twenty minutes of work and you've got your own shiny to wear. A patch would be awesome if they get re-ordered, but I'll bet you start making converts if you show up to school in your own self-made Firefly t-shirt.

Hehe. Thank you alloh yeah no offense but i have to wear gorram uniforms at school. Those black and white pictures were really shiny. I liked it...And Joss you the greatest for making this series..and the movie. ...(I looked in DVD cases to find my 1rst DVD...and nope.. My parents should have divorced but wouldn't. They hated each other for as long as I can remember and used all us kids in their dirty little war.
There's an old (and true) saying: You cannot control the things that happen around you - you can only control how you react to them.
