I was browsing the OB and noticed someone posted about this - so I had to go look for myself!
WorldCon 2004 is in Boston, MA - Sept 2-6.

Thursday 2:00pm: Living in an SF World
In an episode of Firefly, Wash declaims that psychic powers are the stuff of science fiction. His wife Zoe points out that he lives in a spaceship. We are already beginning to live in an SF world—how are writers reacting to that? What will SF writers actually write about when we live and work in space?
****
No mention if anyone from Serenity will be there...I can't go anyway.

do not think this really has much to do about Firefly but Sci fi of the future
let face it why would living on a spaceship be sci fi in the Firefly verse of 500 years in the future
anyway there is a Firefly panel Friday morning
I just hope Universal has giveaways . . .
Also, I can kill you with my brain.NOTIFY: Y | REPLY | REPLY WITH QUOTE | PERMALINK | TOP | HOME
There is definitely going to be a panel on Firefly at Worldcon!
Friday 10:00am: You Can't Take the Sky From Me…
…but can they take (your?) Serenity. Talk about the series and the movie.
I'll be there!
Also, I just started a web page for Browncoats going to Worldcon. Mainly I wanted a place to gather all the information for my own benefit!

We applied the cortical electrodes but were unable to get a neural reaction from either patient.
