Okay I get a bunch of mail order catalogs...Who doesn't? But recently I have spotted a couple that look like there might be secret browncoats on staff.
If somebody out ther knows how to paste stuff to this websight you guys could see what I am talking about.
First, the Paragon catalog has a lounge/pajama suit with the chinese charcter and the word under it for SERENITY! No joke.
Then, even more unbelivable, is Signals catalog carrying a black t-shirt with the chinese symbol and english translation for... (you are not gonna believe this) PRETENTIOUS!

I get a catalog called The Pyramid Collection ( www.pyramidcollection.com) and it has a lot of Asian merchandise, including clothing with Chinese characters printed on them. I don't recall seeing Serenity offhand, but you could check their website. They've got a lot of cool stuff, including a "brocaded Versailles coat" that would fit in well at any shindig in the 'Verse.

(And no, I'm not affiliated with Pyramid. I just get their junkmail.)

I like those dragon dresses on Pyramid. Was thinking of getting one for DragonCon. Anyone know how dressy the banquet gets or if this okay to wear in the evenings?

I was at a DragonCon many moons ago (1995) and the banquet wasn't black tie, but it was fairly dressy. I wore a suit and tie and didn't feel I stuck out. I think the dragon dress would be perfect, actually. You should send us a picture of you in it!

There is also a really cool mandarin jacket that Pyramid carries. Looks like the ones worn in the show by the background talent. Go to APPAREL>SHIRTS&TOPS and look for the brocade trimmed jacket. Very cool.

I can't believe I didn't think of The Pyramid Collection when I was trying to come up with good Firefly clothes! I used to get the catalog a loooong time ago.. Now I just have to save up my pennies for something fun to wear to the premier! (no cons around where I live..)

Yea I like that jacket a lot.

I went ahead and ordered both the long black dragon dress and the long purple Iris dress to see how they look on. Just realized I only have about 5 weeks left to find clothing. I'm looking for some Asian tops, but I prefer a little looser fitting than the tailored ones I'm finding online.
