So, I'm rewatching Angel and just finished watching "Slouching towards Bethlehem". Spoilers ahead!
What I'm wondering is, how does Wolfram and Hart know that Lorne read Cordelia? You don't see Wolfram and Hart acquiring that intelligence anywhere in the episode yet they still set up the diversion to kidnap Cordy when she's with Connor so they can get at Lorne.
I can't remember if this is the Season where we find out that Wolfram and Hart planted a bunch of cameras in the hotel or if that already happened in an earlier season and was discovered. If this is the camera season, I guess I'll find out soon enough...

The cameras were all Season 3, and they're discovered right after Connor is born.

I think they made and educated guess that Angel and the gang would try to have Lorne read Cordy. It seems like a pretty obvious move IMO.

That's what I was thinking. From last season 2 on, every time they're lost as to their next move, they have Lorne do a reading.
