Good on you my fellow Jayne-ite! Patience is a virtue after all. I'm on a cable modem and even I find that board slow and infuriating. Makes me appreciate Haken's fine work even more. 
Another reason I love this place, we don't need no stinking nitpickers thread, this whole board is a nitpickers thread.

the high traffic on the FOX firefly board
may have helped a bit with
getting two more episodes.

I'm sorry, too. I didn't mean to sound quite so snobbish about the FOX board. The high traffic over there probably does help. I'm just loyal. And kinda of a snob.

Sorry but my experience tells me Fox doesn't give a rat's behind about the fans of their series. I, and many, many others posted constantly on their "that 80's show" board and they pulled that show so fast if you blinked you missed it (yes, I know, it wasn't exactly X-files caliber, but it was cute...).
Now I'm hearing here that they plan on only two more episodes of Firefly!?! Oh well, another one bites the dust. I just wish they'd stop putting on these fun shows and then not giving them a fair chance. And the major networks wonder why they're losing veiwers.

Of course Fox (and any network) doesn't care about the true fans. The only time a network does care about a fanbase is when it's big enough to affect revenue. Please don't confuse money with morality.
