My "Little Kaylee"

I don't mean to hog time here. I guess I just have all this pent-up Firefly-love that needs exorcising.
I must profess: I have a massive, massive crush on Kaylee. haha How embarrassing is that?! 
...and, considering my age, perhaps a bit creepy. X) Sure, if I lived anywhere near a convention site, and actually MET Jewel Staite, I'd probably faint dead away! haha Of course I KNOW that Ms. Staite is NOT Kaylee, blah blah blah, but still. She is my favorite character.
Whenever she appears on-screen I think to myself: "There's Little Kaylee!" awwwwww! Isn't she sweet?! hahaha Then I caught Mal calling her "Little Kaylee" and thought: "SEE!" And whenever anyone is mean to her my heart sinks...and I want to beat 'em up! haha
That's all. I just needed to get that off my chest. haha

Jewel's a doll, I can testify. Seen her, up close and in person. Others here, I'm sure, have gotten to know here over the years. She's pretty darn cool.
And she's taller than I'd expect. Not like towering huge or anything, but still... So many in Hollywood, it seems, are shorter in person. Not so w/ Jewel, or most of the BDHs. Adam and Nathan, obviously. 
Joss does have a knack at not just finding pretty girls, but those w/ an inner glow to them.

I envy your opportunities to see the cast! But, I would just embarrass myself. She tells of a man who once came up to meet her and he was so nervous he audibly farted, much to the hilarity of her husband who was seated beside her. Well, I would be that guy.
Jewel says that she is neither as nice nor as innocent as Kaylee. Notwithstanding, her smile lights up the 'Verse.

I don't have anything against Companions and whores but, NOT my sister!!!
God, I guess I'm like Mal on this score. A woman has the right to engage in that trade but it's still demeaning and I wouldn't want to see any woman I care about do it. It would break my heart and I just can't make my mind go there. I know they're all somebody's sister but that's their business.
God...I'd rather see her married to Simon Tam!
