I just ordered it.

I made this model back in 1979, when it had no cockpit. So I made one (not easy). In the many moves since then, it broke.
Then, my Mom-in-law threw out a wing thinking it was just junk.

I can't wait to do it again!! On a proper stand & such.
My best model up to this point is the Flying Sub...

I *will* change that!

Modelers, please post your great stuff!

I have this, and I don't care who I offend here, but it beats the s**t outta that new piece of go-se gray striated nonsense.

I agree wholeheartedly!

I don't do models any more. Now-a-days, I just buy the die-cast or vintage plastic ones.

My favorite by far is the Serenity ornament by Dark Horse (comes with a cool stand, I took the string off too) and the Hasbro Titanium Millenium Falcon. The scale is almost right when the sit side by side.

I hate myself for not getting one while they were out.

I did pick them up, the big one and the small one. Neither is the right scale with Serenity, at least no to my eye, but then the dimensions for the Falcon are.... debatable.

I managed to find the Ertyl Buck Roger Starfigher as well. Not keen on the yellow retractable wings on the big one or the 'child safety' bars on either size.

Yup, and the small version. I was lucky. I found it at a discount toy warehouse.

Now the Galactica, I can't find for under $50.

I did manage to get the original series Viper from Hasbro as well as the new versions. The look AWESOME together on my shelf.

I'll try and snap some pics.

I just broke out the *box* O' stuff, and it had my Galactica (Gods I did a good job on that 30 yahren ago), a Firefox built from kitbashing a supersonic plane model, a Batmobile from the first Keaton flick, and my beat-up Viper, which my Son is even now attempting to fix for me...

I sometimes forget how many models I have worked on.

Had I the time, this would be my ultimate project, 1:250, in STUPID detail:

Alas, I must wait for a model that I can do in just a few hours.

Doesn't QMX have a model of the Serenity? Or is it too big and too $$$?
