A partial DVD review here, since it's THREEE HOURS LONG now.
Well, we watched the first half -the movie is spread over two discs in this release to increase picture quality, and man, it's like I suddenly have Blu Ray- I can only IMAGINE what the BR one looks like!!!
New opening- perfect. New additional bits- excellent. Packaging- beautiful. Extras- haven't had time, but what a list.

Trust me, y'all need this if you even just *liked* the theatrical version.

I like this movie more & more the more I see it. And this version is the way to go.
(No, I don't work for 20TH Century Fox, James Cameron, or Eyes Only)

Planning to grab one on me way home from work, I am.

I'm getting the Blu-Ray through amazon. Best Buy's price for that is $29.99, amazon has it 5 dollars cheaper, plus I had a gift certificate. It pays to be an amazon associate site.

Be careful, in Blu Ray it might make your head explode. Ever see that guy in Scanners...?

You all realize by buying this movie you're just encouraging Mr. Cameron to make more of this crap.

I take it that you're not a fan of this particular movie, Pengy?
Why?
Too heavy handed in its American Indian analogy thing?
Or is it the Corporate-use-it-up-for-profits-N'-war thing?

Either way, it a freakin' BEEEYOOOTIFUL movie!!

Hey, I ain't all religious & s**t, but I love The Ten Commandments too, aiiiht?

There are hundreds of movies made in the past few years that I would label as crap long before it would occur to me to use that word to describe Avatar. Sorry you didn't like it, Peng. To each his own.

Was it perfect? Not by a long shot. Does it make my Top 10 of SF films. Not quite. I still like it though.

Well, a 'medium' shot, IMO.
