IS this a list of things you won't watch or will Traveler?

Ponder: has anyone come across a more convoluted and confusing opening to a discussion about two competing company's product lines that this, "When you make a date with a special someone to go to an event you have been looking forward to, and perhaps paid a fair amount to attend, you don't want to show up to see sloppy attire and watch a practice session with mistakes and discussions of what the performers might like to do if they had the opportunity."?
Oh yeah that common situation everyone can relate to. Sure. Happens all the time.

HUH WHAT???
Ok so are they saying you don't want to go to an event where people dress sloppily or you don't want to attend an event where the entertainment is bad??
Is this a party type event or is this some sort of presentation??

Good luck trying to figure it out. I didn't write that craziness. But it was the opening of a fairly official marketing email. My work friend and I spent a good 10 minutes making jokes about it.
I still don't know what in the world they're trying to describe. I do however give it the highest marks possible for convolution.

My oldest tv memories involve Thundercats, Trapdoor, Sesame Street, The ATeam, Bravestarr and Airwolf.
I think I'd probably still watch all those shows now if they aired regularly enough.

Pretty sure Sesame Street airs quite regularly still.
Though I think our perception was way off as kids. I tried watching thundercats again and it's pretty bad. Though I must say the Zelda cartoons that were like little short things they showed during the Super Mario Brothers show are still pretty awesome. "Kiss me princess!" That Link ruled.

Oh yeah I can remember just loving He Man and Thundercats... now I realize they suck. As does, sadly, GI Joe
